Alawi takes part in OIC's Istanbul Summit

Istanbul: Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held an extraordinary meeting in preparation for the OIC Extraordinary Summit, due to be held later on Wednesday in Istanbul by the OIC's leaders.
The Sultanate's delegation in the meeting was led by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs.
The ministers will discuss the situation after the recognition of the US administration Jerusalem as an alleged capital of Israel, the occupying power, and moving its Embassy to the Occupied Jerusalem.
The session included speeches for Mevlut Cavuşoglu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al Othaimeen, OIC Secretary General and Riyad Al Maliki, Foreign Minister of Palestine.
In their speeches, the speakers emphasised their categorical rejection of the US administration's decision on the occupied Jerusalem. They considered it "null and void" and called it "dangerous", which aims to change the legal status of Jerusalem and does not hold any legitimacy, as a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and International law.
