Liquid industrial waste treatment plant in Sohar Port launched

Sohar: The second phase of Majis Industrial Services' Central Plant for the treatment and recycling of liquid industrial waste in the port of Sohar was launched on Tuesday, under the patronage of Nasser bin Khamis Al Jashmi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, in the presence of Sheikh Muhanna bin Saif Al Lamki, Governor of North Al Batinah.
Eng. Ahmed bin Saif al-Mazroui, Chief Executive Officer of Majis Industrial Services company, delivered a speech on the occasion, in which he pointed out that the total cost of the project is OMR12 million including construction and operations. He noted that the plant was specifically established to serve the expansion of the Sohar refinery, Lowe Plastic Industries Complex, water and electricity stations and tanker trucks coming from the industrial areas of Sohar.
Dr. Salim bin Ali Al Ma'amari, Director of Planning and Projects at Majis Industrial Services Company, gave a detailed presentation of the station, its operational plan and the period of its implementation.
At the end of the ceremony, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance toured the various units of the station. He also honoured the employees and shareholders in the success of the project.
