London: Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM), the technology arm of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), has recently been recognised with the BID Quality Award presented at the Guoman Tower Convention Hall in London.
KOM is committed to quality, leadership, technology and innovation in the continuous search for excellence.
The BID Quality Award, which was received by Nasser Al Malki, Acting Director General of KOM, symbolises an international recognition of leadership in quality of KOM, for following the path to continuous quality improvement.
For the last 31 years, Business Initiative Directions (BID), led by a group of qualified professionals from the academic world and from business and engineering sectors, has been committed to recognising, educating and spreading quality culture around the world. Leading companies and organisations around the world gathered to be recognised for their achievements in quality.
The award recipients are icons of commitment to leadership, technology and innovation, making them models for others in their sectors.
The organisers also emphasised that as the main technology park and technology oriented business forum of Oman, KOM embodies the successful merging of business, academy and governmental institutions to promote, integrate and apply technology exchange and knowledge-based business in the country.
