Oman dining: Five kitchen hacks

1. Put a crust of bread in a pan when cooking vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower, radish. It takes away the smell.
2. Add 1 tablespoon of fruit jam to a glass of cold milk, blend well and a quick delicious fruit shake is ready for your kids.
3. Add 2 tablespoons of pickle masala, 2 tablespoons pickle oil and a pinch of salt to a cup of wheat flour to make delicious achari pooris for breakfast and as a travel food.
4. While boiling potatoes, add some salt or vinegar in the water, to avoid cracking while boiling.
5. To enhance the flavour of coffee, add a pinch of salt to it.
