OKC all set to host Oman Karate Championship

Muscat: With all arrangements in place, the Oman Karate Committee (OKC) is all set to host the 10th Oman Karate Championship.
According to information received from the OKC, this year’s championship will be organised at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex from December 20 to 23.
The championship, to be conducted as per the World Karate Federation (WKF) rules and regulations in kata and kumite categories, will see participation of individuals and teams from different Oman clubs and karate centres.
Speaking about the committee’s readiness to host the championship, Ahmed bin Said Al Zakwani, chief referees committee, said the championship is being organised as part of Oman Karate Committee’s annual calendar of events.
The competitions in this year’s championship will include competitions in different age groups and weight categories.
It worth mentioning that the Oman Karate Committee, under the guidance of Brigadier Abdul Malik bin Ghassan Al Mazrooi, is making sincere efforts to develop the sport of karate in the Sultanate.
