Musandam Exchange hands over membership cards

Muscat: Musandam Exchange, a leading money exchange company in Sultanate, has started distributing membership cards to applicants of Kerala Pravasi Welfare Board.
The meeting was presided over by P M Jabir, Director – Kerala Non Resident Keralite Welfare Board and Zacharia P S, General Manager, Musandam Exchange, according to a press release.
Membership cards were distributed to over 125 non-resident Indians (NRIs) who had registered through its various branches of Musandam Exchange.
Zacharia explained the efforts made by the exchange company in distributing the membership card in the shortest possible time span of 20 days after the applications were received from the NRIs. He also said that Musandam Exchange through its 15 branches across Sultanate has made arrangements for accepting the monthly contribution towards the pension scheme for all NRIs holding the membership card in association with Syndicate Bank.
Jabir said that the efforts made by the Government of Kerala in reaching out for benefiting the NRI population from Kerala. He mentioned that an estimated number of over 25,000 NRIs have already registered for the membership and is targeting to cross over 100,000 NRIs from Oman.
He acknowledged the efforts made by exchange companies in Oman and lauded Musandam Exchange for distributing the membership cards in such short interval. He also appreciated the management of Musandam Exchange for introducing the facility at its branches to accept monthly contribution for the pension fund from all NRIs.
