When Minister of Transport and Communications, Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Futaisi, cuts the ribbon this morning, it will mark the opening of one of the very first major international conferences and exhibitions staged at the brand new Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre.
ACI is the international trade association of 1,940 airports on which OAMC Chief Executive, Sheikh Aiman bin Ahmed Al Hosni, serves on the Governing Board.
A close examination of the new $1.8 billion world-class facilities at Muscat International Airport will take centre stage in the conference programme drawing on 120 expert airport speakers, including 10 airport CEOs and airport leaders drawn from Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Amman, Qatar, Delhi, Istanbul, and led by the OAMC CEO himself.
The exhibition comprises more than 50 enterprises and sponsors, including many suppliers involved in the new airport facilities.
The Oman Airports exhibit forms a showcase for important partners including Oman Air, SalamAir and PACA. Free-of-charge exhibition entrance is offered to Omani companies interested in the airport business here in Oman, the Middle East region, and further afield.
