U.S. Senator Franken apologizes again after allegations

U.S. Senator Al Franken, a Democrat representing Minnesota, said on Monday that again he's sorry and ashamed about the groping accusations against him.

U.S. Senator Al Franken returned to work Monday on Capitol Hill and said again he's sorry and ashamed about the groping accusations against him.
U.S. SENATOR AL FRANKEN SAYING: "I know that I am going to have to be much more conscious when, in these circumstances much more careful, much more sensitive and that this, that this will not happen again."
Franken - a Democrat from Minnesota - was first accused of groping or inappropriately touching women in mid-November and he's been in damage control mode since-- giving several interviews with local media also apologizing for his behavior.
But he said he won't resign over the incidents.
U.S. SENATOR AL FRANKEN SAYING: "I've been trying to take responsibility by apologizing...we are going to cooperate completely with the ethics investigation."
Franken was first accused of sexual misconduct by radio host Leann Tweeden. She claims Franken had forcibly kissed her during a 2006 USO war zone tour and a photo showed him with his hands over her chest while she was sleeping.
U.S. SENATOR AL FRANKEN SAYING: "I apologized to her and I meant it and was, you know very grateful that she accepted it."
He was also accused by another woman for touching her back while the two were being photographed in 2010 at the Minnesota State Fair, but says he doesn't remember the incident.
