Arsonist held in Oman after setting two cars on fire

Muscat: An Omani has been arrested for setting two vehicles on fire in Ibri.
The Omani national set fire to two vehicles in another citizen’s backyard in Ibri and was arrested by the Department of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation.
An official source from the police station in Ibri said: "The Department of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation arrested a citizen for deliberately setting fire to two vehicles. The police station of Ibri received a complaint from a citizen about a fire in his backyard, which resulted in the burning of two vehicles and the car canopy.
The fire was extinguished and a criminal suspicion was discovered through investigation. The forensic team was able to identify and arrest the suspect. He was referred to the judicial authorities to complete the legal proceedings.
