London: Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) has been ranked one of top ten Arab universities in the Best Arab Universities Index 2018 Report, prepared by the London-based Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Co.
SQU got 83.9 points in the overall index, 83.1 in academic reputation, 73.7 in reputation of employees, 94.9 in college students index and 10. 6 in international students index.
The establishment of SQU was announced on the 10th anniversary of the National Day in 1980. The first batch of students was admitted in 1986.
