Bank Nizwa named strongest Islamic retail bank

Muscat: For the third successive year, Bank Nizwa was named the number one Islamic bank in Oman following a rigorous assessment developed by renowned UK-based intelligence house Cambridge IF Analytica. Bank Nizwa was honoured with the ‘Strongest Islamic Retail Bank in Oman 2017’ award during the annual Islamic Retail Banking Awards (IRBA) organised by the research firm in Dubai.
Arif Al Zaabi, Acting Head of Branches and Sales at Bank Nizwa, received the awards on behalf of the bank.
Bank Nizwa’s strong dedication to nurturing the growth of the Islamic financial sector in the Sultanate and innovative solutions has made it a consistent front runner for the IRBA. To date, the bank has won the ‘Strongest Islamic Retail Bank in Oman’ award at every IRBA ceremony, highlighting its consistency in delivering exceptional service over the years.

The IRBA are regarded as the first awards programme to be based on the most academically rigorous analysis of global Islamic banking performances. Winners are rigorously reviewed by a panel of independent experts based on a highly stringent assessment developed by Cambridge IF Analytica. The prestigious awards honour individuals and institutions that have demonstrated great commitment and made significant contributions to the development, growth and success of Islamic retail banking.
