Minister of Tourism officially inaugurates Sundus Rotana Muscat

Muscat: H.E. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mahrizi, Oman’s Minister of Tourism, officially inaugurated Sundus Rotana Muscat in the presence of Mohammed bin Mahfoodh Al Ardhi, one of the new Hotel’s owner, and both Nasser Al Nowais, Chairman and Selim El Zyr, Co-founder and Vice Chairman of Rotana Hotel Management Corporation PJSC. Serving the increasing number of travellers and guests visiting the Sultanate, the new hotel is the brand’s first property in Muscat and marks a milestone in its strategic expansion plan in Oman.

Mohammed Al Ardhi, one of the owners of Sundus Rotana, Muscat said, “Tourism is a key diversification driver of the Omani economy and it is our responsibility to help propel this vision forward and generate sustainable returns for Oman and its people. Sundus Rotana’s strategic location and service offering will cater to seasonal guests and business travellers alike. Characterized by modern architecture and cutting edge facilities, the hotel includes 215 stylish rooms and suites, six flexible meeting and conference rooms in addition to an elegant ballroom and Bodylines Fitness & Wellness Club fully equipped with a gymnasium, swimming pool and steam rooms. Fulfilling the Rotana legacy of culinary excellence, the hotel also features three signature restaurants including the Lobby Lounge café, Ginger all-day dining and the award-winning, Teatro restaurant which will bring the best of Japan, Italy, India and China to Muscat.
