Expat drowned in UAE, body found in Oman

Muscat: The body of an Asian national who was missing for several days has been found, the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) said in an online statement.
The Water Rescue Team at the Directorate of Civil Defence and Ambulance in Musandam on Wednesday morning recovered the body of an Asian national who was swept away in Wadi Sheis in Sharjah, UAE.
“On November 18, the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance received a report from Madha Police Station from the UAE government about a drowning incident of an Asian national in Wadi Sheis in Sharjah adjacent to the wilayat of Madha in Musandam Governorate about three days ago.
“They suspected that the body was swept away to Musandam Governorate,” the PACDA said.
“Following the report, special teams were formed from the Royal Oman Police and the Directorate of Civil Defence and Ambulance who started searching for the body with the help of trained dogs,” PACDA said, in an online statement.
Rescuers said that the body of the Asian national was found and was later handed over to Madha Police Station for the completion of the legal procedures.
