OmanPride: Residents hail His Majesty on 47th National Day

Oman with just about recovering from the momentous celebrations of the 47th National Day, and the holidays around the corner, residents in the Sultanate were only too happy to share their views on this auspicious occasion.
“Oman is one of the safest and most peaceful countries in the world,” said Irfan Amin. “Oman’s transition from one of the most technologically and educationally-deprived countries in the world to becoming a model of economic and social development is in itself an achievement.
“Not many nations have achieved it and it is astonishing how we have come a long way as a society,” he added. “This would not have been possible without the vision and determination of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. Long live His Majesty, and may he continue to develop Oman into a beacon of peace and tolerance.”
“On the occasion of the 47th National Day, I wish to convey my best wishes to all of the people of Oman and congratulate His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said,” added Venkata Rajulu. “I wish him long life and the best of health.”
“I wish prosperity to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos.Oman is the best country in the world,” said Kandukuri Srinivas.
The traditional National Day fireworks have captured many a heart of Oman’s residents, and remain among some of the most stand-out memories of the country’s celebrations. “I would have loved to see great fireworks on the Muttrah Corniche,” said Danishwer Khan. “My family and I always like them and I remember them very fondly,”
“I wish for Oman to hold a great balloon festival for their next 18th November celebrations,” opined Jaya Venkat. “I’ve always loved balloons, and I think this will be great for tourism as well.”
“On this momentous occasion which unites expatriates and Omanis alike, I wish long life and good health to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos,” added Samreen Begum. “Long live His Majesty and his vision for this great country.”
“National Day is a great occasion for all of us in Oman,” added Mohammed Faisal. “I have been living here for many years, and in the future, I would be honoured and grateful to meet His Majesty Sultan Qaboos on the occasion of National Day.”
“I live in Muttrah, and it had some really awesome National Day celebrations this time,” added Mumtaz Ahmed. “I wish every country could celebrate their important occasions the way we celebrate National Day.”
