Maxitech and Lulu record comfortable victories

Muscat: Maxitech International registered an emphatic seven-wicket victory over Bosher Olympic Center (BOC) in an H Division match at OAC Ground III in Seeb.
Batting first, BOC managed to score just 78 for eight in 20 overs. Saif Shamsuddin top-scored with 31 off 34. Arshad Mohamed and Rajesh Nair claimed two wickets each for Maxitech.
In reply, Maxitech raced to the target in just nine overs, scoring 82 for three. Sajeev Sathyanand (37 off 25) and Mifas Mohamed (35 not out of 23) were the notable scorers. Nakul Mahesh bagged two wickets.

Lulu down Sam Royals

In another low-scoring I Division game, Lulu Hypermarket registered a resounding seven-wicket win against Sam Royals at OAC Ground III.
Lulu bowled out Royals for just 61. For Royals, Pramod Kumar top-scored with 21 off 17.
For Lulu, Navas Ibrahim bowled a sensational spell, taking four wickets in 2.1 overs for just two runs while Harishankar Sivasankara bagged two.
It took Lulu just 7.3 overs to win the game, scoring 63 for three. Extras were the main contributors at 20, including 16 wides.

Trupti inspires ISC
Indian Social Club (ISC) rode Trupti Pawde’s brilliance to hand Sahara Women a 10-wicket thrashing in a T20 Women’s League game at the Ministry of Sports Affairs Ground II in Al Ameraton on Saturday.
Trupti took two crucial wickets, including that of top-scorer Sushma (25), as ISC dismissed Sahara for a meagre 72 in 20 overs. Krishna Udani bowled exceptionally well to claim three wickets in her four-over spell.
Trupti later unleashed her full repertoire of elegant strokes in her knock of 53 runs off 23 balls to propel ISC to a 10-wicket victory in just 4.4 overs. Mona Monappa, the other opener, was unbeaten on 12.
Brief scores: Sahara Women 72 all out in 20 overs (Sushma 25; Krishna Udani 3/17, Trupti Pawde 2/7) lost to ISC 73 for no loss in 4.4 overs (Trupti Pawde 53 n.o).
Women’s Cricket Sohar win
In another game at the same venue, Women’s Cricket Sohar defeated Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir (ISWK) by seven wickets.
ISWK decided to bat first but failed to find any rhythm, crawling their way to 80 for nine in 20 overs.
Simranjeet Sirah and Jayadhanya Gunasekar scored 15 each. Renu Sharma, Snehal Nair and Sakshi Shetty all took two wickets each.
Sohar reached the target in the 14th over, scoring 81 for three, thanks to Kavita Raghavendra (26) and Bhavya Shetty (16).
