Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has received a cable of greetings from His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers on the occasion of the 47th National Day.
In his cable Sayyid Fahd said: “Your Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon You. On the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the glorious National Day, which brings eternal meanings on the land of Oman under Your Majesty’s wise leadership it gives me the honour to express to Your Majesty, on behalf of myself and the Council of Ministers, the sincerest greetings and congratulations coupled with love and loyalty for Your Majesty. We appeal to Allah to maintain Your Majesty for this dear country surrounded by Allah’s care and support.
“Your Majesty the Sultan...Oman, under Your Majesty’s reign has achieved a comprehensive developments that keeps pace with useful sciences and maintain its true values and cultural heritage. Over the past five decades, the comprehensive development has been rolled over to cover all parts of our homeland and meet the basic needs of the society despite the economic challenges the World facing today.
“Your Majesty Monarch of the State... Your Majesty’s continuous care for the Omani citizen in a society where all members are engulfed with care, equal rights and obligation, role of law and where social aspect is given priority in the development plans and programmes made the Sultanate enjoy a leading position among countries of the world and earn top positions in the different fields, as per the reports issued by the international specialised organisations and agencies.
“Your Majesty the Sultan... Your Majesty’s confidence in the ability of the Omani man to take part positively with sound opinion and thought in taking the decisions is clearly evident from Your Majesty’s support to the national work of the Sultanate and the efforts made by the various institutions of the state to continue the comprehensive development efforts and maintain the achievements that have been made.
“Your Majesty Monarch of the State... Your Majesty: Your keenness was not limited to domestic building but rather was extended to include the external world.
“Your Majesty attached great interest in promoting dialogue and peace option among countries. Your Majesty affirmed the basic pillars for the policy adopted by the Sultanate over the years. This policy is based on tolerance and enhancing bonds of love among people.
“Your Majesty’s interest in the protection of environment since the beginning of the blessed Renaissance has been recognised by the international community. This was crowned by granting (Sultan Qaboos Prize for Environment Protection) to world scientists who contribute to environment preservation by their researches.

“Your Majesty the Sultan... Your appreciation for the efforts made to serve the Omani citizen and this nation is a source of pride for all relevant originations of the State. The Council of Ministers is always guided by your Majesty’s royal and noble directives to maintain the pathways of development in the county, achieve its prospective objectives and follow up the progress made in implementing the programs to reach suitable rates for growth.
“On this dear occasion for Oman sons, the Council of Ministers pledge Your Majesty to be more determined to continue this good march in all walks of life guided by Your Majesty’s wise vision. May Allah maintain your Majesty a victorious leader and ensure many happy returns of this occasion while Your Majesty is enjoying good health, welfare and a long life.”
