Five treated for fire injuries at Mawaleh in Muscat

Muscat: A fire broke out in a residential building in Mawaleh in the Sultanate’s capital, Oman’s rescue agency reported on Twitter.
According to the statement from the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA), the fire was reported at an apartment building in Al Mawaleh in the Seeb, with preliminary reports saying residents were still trapped inside the building and that firefighters and ambulances were at the scene.
However, PACDA added, “Rescue teams managed to evacuate those trapped, and the process of extinguishing the fire continues.”
Firefighters managed to control and extinguish the fire, and the ambulance team treated five injuries. Two people were treated at the scene, while three were transferred to the hospital for treatment.
