Rain expected in north Oman

Muscat: Rain is expected to fall in northern Oman within the next month, according to the National Centre for Early Warning and Risks at the Public Authority for Civil Aviation.
"In addition to the possibility of a significant decrease in temperatures associated with the northern wind, there will be low clouds on most of the coast of the Sultanate with the increasing probability of winter rains in Musandam and northern Oman in general," a spokesman said.
The centre also stressed that indicators this year remained at the average annual rate per year. There is increasing chance of rain in the province of Musandam specifically, as well as north of Batinah.
In its 24-hour outlook, Oman's meteorology department said there will be mainly clear skies over most of the Sultanate with chances of clouds developing over Al Hajar mountains during the afternoon, and the chance of low level clouds or fog patches late night to early morning along parts of the Oman sea and Arabian sea coastal areas.
