Bank Sohar supports Al Noor Association for the Blind in Sohar

Muscat: Within the framework of its social outreach initiatives under ‘Sohar Al Atta’, Bank Sohar recently supported Al Noor Association for the Blind – Sohar Branch. This marks the fourth consecutive year that the bank has extended its support to the association backing its efforts in caring for the visually impaired wherein this contribution will go towards the purchase of Braille Sense devices.
The donation cheque was handed over to Muhammad Ismail Al Balushi, head of Al Noor Association for Blind – Sohar Branch, at the bank’s branch in Sohar by Mazin Mahmood Al Raisi, Sr. AGM & Head of Marketing and Customer Experience, Bank Sohar.
On supporting the Al Noor Association for the Blind – Sohar, Munira Macki GM – HR & Corporate Support at Bank Sohar, noted: “We have always focused our efforts on reaching out to the community and giving back to the society we serve. Our CSR initiatives under ‘Sohar Al Atta’ reflect this altruistic philosophy through providing significant assistance to charity and non-profit organisations and welfare centres. With regard to the Al Noor Association for the Blind – Sohar, we have been supporting the organisation in its efforts, offering consistent aid to help it implement programmes for integration of the visually impaired into mainstream society. Their efforts are commendable and the results of their initiatives prove that Oman’s visually impaired citizens play an essential role in the development of the country.”
Muhammad Ismail Al Balushi, head of the association’s Sohar branch, said, “We thank Bank Sohar for their continuous support over the years, which has proved valuable to the association and its objectives. We hope that their goodwill gesture inspires other corporates to be more involved in social development related issues.”
Bank Sohar’s contribution marks the 17thgood will gesture under its ‘Sohar Al Atta’ campaign for this year.
