Two competitions are being organised to promote Omani culture, heritage and patriotism

Muscat: 'My Country: Ethics and Customs' campaign and the Inshad Competition 'Al Tair Al Mahki' were inaugurated on Monday at the College of Sharia Sciences in Al Khuwair under the patronage of Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Rowas, His Majesty the Sultan's Advisor for Cultural Affairs.
Manal bint Abdul Aziz Al Rowas, who oversees the campaign, said in a speech that the 'My Country: Ethics and Customs' campaign is an invitation to uphold the ancient inherited values that are based on peace and benevolence in everything, adding that the land, plants and fruits of Oman have long been good for all without exception.
The campaign aims to strengthen the national identity to preserve the Omani identity in the face of modern changes and a message to promote ethics and values that contribute to building bridges of communication between different cultures.
The 'My Country: Ethics and Customs' campaign at its various stations will be accompanied by ''Al Tair Al Mahki' competition, an Inshad competition that encourages the Inshad talents of community members and develop their skills in the field of Inshad and the good word that calls for ethics, patriotism and develop the spirit of competition among participants.
At the end of the inauguration, Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Rowas, His Majesty the Sultan's Advisor for Cultural Affairs, honoured companies and individuals sponsors of the campaign.
The event was attended by a number of ministers, undersecretaries and a number of officials from the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs.
