OmanPride: Residents praise Oman’s foreign policy

#ReadersResponse: In the wake of Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif praising Oman’s wise policy instituted by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, residents in the country have not shied away from speaking favourably about how Oman’s policies have helped it become a respected nation across the world.
“Yes, Oman’s respect has come from its wisdom, this is really true,” said Abdul Sami. “Oman is literally one of the few countries in the world where people always think of and where the government always tries to promote peace and respect. I want to especially thank the people of Oman, they are truly awesome,” he added. “I have nothing but respect and love for Oman.” Usha Santhosh is another long-term expat in the Sultanate. She too felt grateful for the wise measures introduced in the nation. “I have been living here for three decades, and I have never felt like I’ve been living abroad,” she said. “The nation has been continuously evolving and the credit lies entirely with His Majesty and his insightful policies. The nation has always stood with him in solidarity.”
Oman’s policy of building bridges and friendly relations with everyone was one that residents in the Sultanate were quick to point out. They also felt that this was a feeling that originated from within the country, not one that was artificially brought here.
“Oman is a peaceful sanctuary with peaceful people,” said Adnan Ahmed Agboatwala. “That is why the country continues to find measures for peace throughout the region,” as Syed Muhammad Saqlain Shah added, “Oman is the place of peace and love. This is a country that truly wishes to see peace.”

Ayaz Saiyed had a particularly poignant opinion to share with his fellow residents. “Oman should teach the peaceful ways of life to the whole world,” he said. “We Indians are with Oman for the noble work this country has done. Thank you for welcoming us so warmly.”
“I love the Omani people and I love the peaceful environment here,” added Zafar Malik. “Oman as a country displays excellent behaviour, and the locals here treat all of us as they would any guest who came to their homes.”
Imran Khan has been living in Oman for 21 years. “I think I am an eyewitness of this peaceful and secure life for the last 21 years,” he revealed. “All this has been possible because of His Majesty and the brotherly people of Oman, and their policy of peace and friendship.”
Albert Lopes, however, has been living here even longer. “God bless his Majesty Sultan Qaboos and his citizens,” he said. “This is a beautiful country that is an example of peace and harmony, where I’ve been living for 32 years.”
“It’s only because of the great leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and his policies of peace towards humanity that we are all able to have such good lives here,” admitted Ravinder Anand. “Long Live His Majesty.”
Shahin Alam, though, put it best: “Oman is known as one of the most peaceful countries all over the world.”
