With summer coming to an end and the new off-road season around the corner, GMC’s expanded All-Terrain range offers the perfect blend of rugged styling, tremendous functionality and the highest standards of driving capability for Middle East drivers looking to tackle the great outdoors head on.

The unique line of GMC All-Terrain models – which includes the Acadia All-Terrain SUV, and Sierra All-Terrain and Sierra HD All-Terrain trucks – has been specially developed to perform in the toughest of environments, ensuring all models are capable of taking on the region’s most challenging terrain, such as the Rub’ Al Khali (Empty Quarter) desert, Hajar mountains or Wadi Rum.

“GMC SUVs and trucks are already renowned across the Middle East for their unbeatable combination of ruggedness and refinement,” said Mohsen Kassem, Regional Sales and Marketing Manager, GMC Middle East.

“Designed and developed by some of the most accomplished off-roading experts in the automotive industry specifically to deliver the very best off-road experience, the All-Terrain line-up takes this offering to the next level for the region’s passionate off road driving enthusiasts.”

Sitting between the entry-level and premium Denali models, GMC’s Acadia and Sierra All-Terrain models provide significantly more exclusivity than the type of AWD and 4WD SUVs accordingly, commonly found off the beaten track around the region.

Available with either 355 horsepower 5.3-litre V8 or 420 horsepower 6.2-litre V8 engines, the Sierra All-Terrain is equipped with the legendary Z71 Off-Road suspension with mono tube Rancho shocks, a 2-speed Autotrac 4WD transfer case, advanced Hill Descent Control and protective underbody shielding. Its aggressive exterior features body-colour door handles and side mouldings, along with matching grille surround and bumpers.

The 3.6-litre V6 Acadia All-Terrain’s advanced AWD system with Active Twin Clutch optimises traction in every situation and is engineered for optimal performance on loose surfaces such as sand. At the same time its specific All Terrain mode offers enhanced hill-climb capability. All-Terrain models are distinguished from the rest of the range by the body-colour grill surround, black chrome trim and unique wheels.

In both cases, GMC’s engineers and designers have focused equally on guaranteeing that the ownership experience is as positive on-road as it is off. High levels of comfort, technology and safety ensure that the Sierra and Acadia All-Terrain models deliver a reassuringly refined and cutting-edge ride when in daily use.

Built on the philosophy of ‘Commands Respect’, GMC has built pickups since 1902. With a rich heritage in the Middle East and an impressive 111 years of presence, innovation and engineering excellence is built into all GMC vehicles. The brand is evolving to offer more fuel-efficient pickups, crossovers and SUVs.

The GMC portfolio in the Middle East features Terrain small SUV and Acadia crossover. The Sierra half-ton pickup is the most powerful light duty pickup on the market, and the first full-size pickup to receive the highest possible five-star Overall Vehicle Score for safety since the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration changed its New Car Assessment Programme for the 2011 model year.

Every GMC model, including Yukon and Yukon XL full-size SUVs, is available in Denali luxury trim. GMC also offers customers a high-level aftersales service experience. For more information, visit www.gmcarabia.com. [email protected]
