Emergency crews tackle blazing truck after accident in Muscat

Muscat: A truck caught fire after colliding with a small vehicle in Yiti, Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced.
An official from ROP said: "There was a collision between a truck and another vehicle near Barr Al Jissah roundabout in Yiti at 7am. The truck caught fire as a result of the accident."
"The roads have been cleared," the official also said, adding that there were no casualties from the incident.
One eye witness said: "Emergency crews were on the scene quickly and were watched by us early morning motorists as they put out the fire.
"As a regular driver I see motorists speeding down the mountain on the Qantab road and then struggling to slow down before the new roundabout near the bottom which is close to the Muscat Bay development. It is especially difficult for big vehicles to stop in time and that roundabout has been struck at least once before in recent times."
