Nepal prime minister arrives in Oman on official visit

Muscat: Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal arrived here on Monday evening on an official visit to the Sultanate.
His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers led the welcoming party for the guest and his accompanying delegation upon their arrival at Muscat International Airport.
The guest was given an official welcome ceremony. When the airplane carrying the guest came to a stop in the place specified for it, Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said received and welcomed him in the Sultanate, wishing him and his accompanying delegation a successful visit and a pleasant stay.
Then, the guest introduced his accompanying senior officials to Sayyid Fahd.
After that, Sayyid Fahd accompanied the guest to the dais of honour where the Protocols Guard of the Royal Oman Police (ROP) performed the salute and the National Anthem of Nepal and the Royal Anthem of Oman were played.
Then, the Commandant of the Protocols Guard proceeded to the dais to obtain permission from the guest and Sayyid Fahd to inspect the first column of the Protocols Guard. After inspecting the Protocols Guard, the guest shook hands with the welcoming party members comprising ministers, the Head and members of the Mission of Honour that will accompany the guest, senior officers of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and Royal Oman Police (ROP).
During the visit, the Nepalese Prime Minister is accompanied by an official delegation comprising Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Farmullah Mansur, Minister of Labour and Employment, Asha Koirala, Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, Dr. Dinesh Bhattasai, Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister, Shanker Das Bairagi, Foreign Secretary, Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to the Sultanate, Dipak Adhikara, Chief of Protocols, Tirtha Raj Wagle, Joint Secretary, Head of Central Asia, West Asia and Africa and other officials.

Official dinner
Sayyid Fahd hosted an official dinner at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bar al Jassa Resort in honour of Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Nepal and his accompanying delegation. A number of their highnesses, ministers, chairman of the State council, advisors, a number of senior officials of the State and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Sultanate attended the dinner.
