Puerto Ricans prepare for Hurricane Maria's arrival

Hurricane Maria is pushing on toward the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico on Tuesday as the second top-strength storm to lash the Caribbean this month.

Authorities in Puerto Rico issuing an imminent warning to its residents, ahead of Hurricane Maria's anticipated arrival.
The Category 5 storm prompting residents in the southeastern town of Guayama to board up their homes and prepare for the worst.

Spanish resident Jason Ruiz Alisea saying: "Yes, I'm worried. Not so much for me, but for my mother who is in a wheelchair, understand. I want them to take her to a shelter."
The preparations coming two weeks after Puerto Rico escaped a direct hit by Hurricane Irma, one of the most powerful Atlantic storms on record. They may not be so lucky with Maria. She's expected to pass near or over Puerto Rico on Wednesday... either as a category 4 or 5 hurricane. Residents are frightened.

Spanish resident boarding up home, Yunido Valentin, saying: "I am very worried, because it is going to leave me without my home. This is sad, to have it and then lose everything." Authorities urging evacuations...telling people to leave before it's too late.
