More than 19,000 land plots granted in 2017 by Oman Housing Ministry

Muscat: More than 19,000 multiple use land plots have been granted by the Ministry of Housing in various governorates and wilayats in 2017.
A report published by the Ministry said that South Al Batinah came on top of the list in terms of the number of land plots granted to citizens with 5,079 followed by A’Dakhiliyah 4,260, North A’Sharqiyah 2,794.
The report also said that the total number of title deeds issued during the same period of this year stood at more than 134,000 including the granting, sale, exchange and other real estate transactions.
The report added that the value of the traded real estate contracts during the same period of this year stood at OMR1.618 billion.
The fees collected stood at about OMR84,903,000 through 71,411 transactions.
The value of the real state sale transaction during the same period stood at about OMR701,334,000 and the collected fees for them stood at about OMR26,931,000.
The report noted that highest of the total 35,506 real estate sale transactions were recorded in North Al Batinah with 7,385 followed by Muscat with 6,508.
