Top music artistes from Bangladesh to perform in Muscat

Muscat: Some of the leading lights in the Bangladesh music world are coming to Muscat for a concert this Thursday.

Taufiquzzaman Palash, organiser of the concert, said: “This will be one of the biggest Bangladeshi concerts ever in Oman where 15 celebrities from Dhaka film industry along with two artists from Kolkata in India will perform at the Qurum Amphitheatre on September 14.”

The show will start at 7.30pm and will continue until midnight. “The gates will open at 5.30pm,” Taufiquzzaman said.

Talking about the stars, Taufiquzzaman said: “Bangladesh superstars, Shakib Khan and Bidya Sinha Mim will be the major attractions at the concert.”



Shakib Khan is currently shooting in England with actress Subhasree Ganguly from India.

From India, Mrinal Sen and actress, Payel Mukherjee Roy will be performing at the show.

The other stars include Md Sanjit Sanwar, Bipasha Kabir, Hossain Nirob, Airin Sultana, Siddiqur Rahaman, Babor, singer Asif Akbar and many others from Bangladesh. “It is very high budget concert and we are expecting a full house on Thursday,” he said.

The aim of the concert is to engage both Bangladeshi and Indian expatriates in Oman. “There is a huge Bangladeshi community in Oman. But not many concerts happen. So this concert will unite the Bangladeshi community living in Oman,” he said.
