Oman National Measles Campaign second phase set to kick off

Muscat: Oman is set for the launch of the second phase of the National Measles Campaign on Sunday.
The campaign targets people in the age group of 20 to 35.
The campaign, being executed by the Ministry of Health and other departments concerned, will run from September 10 to 16.
The campaign will cover all the governorates of the Sultanate except the Governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta for which phase one of the vaccination campaign was carried out last May.
The Ministry of Health has completed all preparations for the second phase of the campaign for the remaining governorates.
The second phase of the National Measles Campaign will be launched at Al Khuwair Health Centre under the auspices of Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health.
The campaign will be launched in the other governorates under the patronage of the respective governors of in the presence of the undersecretaries of the Ministry of Health.
