Teachers’ Day celebrated at Indian School Al Ghubra

Muscat: The students of Indian School Al Ghubra celebrated Teachers’ Day with great zeal and enthusiasm on September 5, 2017.
The day commenced with a special assembly by the prefectorial body of the school.
In her introductory speech, the Head Girl, Rupsha Debnath expressed her gratitude for the devotion and selfless service rendered by the teachers.
The soulful rendition of the hymn, composed by the students of Class 12 to honour the teachers on this very special day, radiated warmth and affection.
The Value for the Day presented by the Head Boy - Siddhant Suri Dhawan and President Students’ Council - K. S Suraaj highlighting the impact teachers have had on the lives of famous personalities was a befitting tribute to the teachers.
As this day marked the birthday of one of the veteran teachers - K.S. Abraham who is the supervisor of senior school, the students put up a powerpoint presentation to honour him. The principal and members of the staff also extended their felicitations to him.
The principal in her address stated that teachers are not only committed to their work but are also the parent figures in school. She further stated that every day is Teachers’ Day.
The assembly concluded with a Flash Mob by the vibrant students of Class 12 which took the audience by surprise.
