Pakistan International Airlines increases frequency of Salalah-Karachi flights

Muscat: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will fly four times a week to Karachi from Salalah, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA), Sultanate of Oman, announced on Wednesday.
Shahzad Paracha, country manager of PIA Oman, said they will be starting four flights a week from September 4. “These flights will operate on Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday from Salalah,” he said.
Paracha, however, clarified that PIA will stop operating direct flights to Islamabad, Lahore and Sialkot from Salalah. “Instead of flying to all these places, we will fly to Karachi and then passengers can fly to different parts of Pakistan.”
He also said that this will benefit Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals, who stay in the Dhofar governorate.
“From Pakistan, we will offer very good connections to our Bangladeshi brothers and sisters,” he said.
