Football: Struggling Palace will not change tactics, says De Boer

London: Crystal Palace will not change their style of play despite their dismal start to the Premier League campaign, manager Frank de Boer said as he urged his players to improve their decision-making when they have the ball.
Palace are second bottom of the table after losing their first three league games to Huddersfield Town, Liverpool and Swansea City but De Boer, who joined Palace in June, remains defiant.
"I don't see a change of style," he said. "It's just (about them) showing the spirit and doing what we tell them to do... If we play 3-4-3 or 5-3-2 or 4-3-3, everybody knows what he has to do.
"It all starts with courage when you have the ball. Defending is not the most difficult thing. When you have the ball, you have to make the right choices. We did that in the second half much better."
British media reported that De Boer is close to being fired by Palace chairman Steve Parish. The Dutchman was sacked after 85 days in charge at Italy's Inter Milan in 2016, where he won just five of his 14 games in charge.
Palace next travel to Burnley on September 10.
