Regional meeting in Oman discusses steps to raise human resources productivity

Salalah: Strategies to raise productivity are being discussed at a regional meeting that began here on Tuesday.
The 7th Gulf Human Resources Productivity Development Conference kicked off on Tuesday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Salalah under the patronage of Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar.
The conference is organised by Asayel Group for Event Management under the theme “Outstanding Job Performance for Outstanding and Sustainable Productivity” in collaboration with a number of government and private entities.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Nadabi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service for Civil Service, delivered a speech in which he pointed out that the conference seeks to focus on strategies aimed at increasing the productivity of work and presenting the best applications and successful practices in the field of measuring productivity, its quality and impact on the working environment and employee.
The conference will discuss a number of topics, including performance measurement tools and linking them to effective productivity, creative thinking and self-empowerment to develop productivity, as well as the promotion of social development through programs of happiness in work and the use of social media to stimulate productivity.
The conference targets all categories of jobs from chief executive officers to supervisors in different work areas, managers and human resources officers, managers of production lines in different fields in the public and private sectors and entrepreneurs.
