Homeowners in Oman to be compensated for new road project in September

Muscat: Applications from citizens whose homes will be affected by the new Al Batinah Coastal Road Project in Sohar will be accepted on specified days of the week from September 6, the Ministry of Housing has announced. According to the “Al Batinah Road Compensation Project,” up to 80 per cent compensation will be given to homeowners. Areas that are eligible for compensation include Al Sahlat, Hay Al Rifaa, and Wadi Al Awniya. People have been asked to go to the office of the “Al Batinah Expressway Compensation Project” on Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, from September 6. Citizens must bring with them documents, such as “The original title deed, personal documents of the owner and a summary of the inventory data for the property to be affected.”
