Indian School Al Maabela celebrates Indian Independence Day in Oman

Muscat: Indian School Al Maabela (ISAM) celebrated the 71st Indian Independence Day along with the academic excellence award ceremony on August 15.
The celebrations began with the National Anthem followed by the New India Pledge. The Chief Guest Sujith Kumar S, Chairperson HSE and Transport Subcommittee was given a guard of honour by the contingents of ISAM with their disciplined March Past.
Principal P. Prabakaran delivered the welcome address and the Independence Day Message was given by the Chief Guest which filled patriotism in the mind of the audience.
The cultural programme began with the school choir rendering ‘Vande Matram’ glorifying the beauty and heritage of the country.
It was followed by the dazzling patriotic dances and speech which made everyone feel proud to be Indians.
The Chief Guest Sujith Kumar S., Chairperson HSE and Transport Subcommittee, the Guest of Honour Siham Ahmed Saeed Al Riyami, Director of Education Programmes and Curriculum Department, Directorate for private schools and Jolly Mathew, Convenor, School Management Committee felicitated the students of classes 5 -12 for their remarkable achievement in their academics.
