Australian Navy finds crashed U.S. military aircraft

An Australian Navy survey ship has located a U.S. military aircraft that crashed off the Australian northeast coast. Erica Ferrari reports.

The Australian Navy said Monday it has found the U.S. military plane that went down off of Australia's northeast coast leaving three Marines presumed dead.

Dive teams are getting ready to recover wreckage from the MV-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft that crashed during a scheduled military exercise.

The Osprey reportedly smashing into the deck of the transport ship USS Green Bay while trying to land Saturday. There were 26 people aboard the aircraft, but only 23 were rescued.

The Marines say the incident is under investigation, describing it as a "mishap". The recovery operation could last several months
