New Muscat airport passenger terminal '97% complete'

Muscat: Muscat International Airport's new passenger terminal is 97 per cent complete, officials announced.
The airport will serve 20 million travellers a year when it opens, which will rise to 48 million passengers in the future.
The passenger terminal's estimated size is 580 thousand cubic metres. It consists of three wings, and contains 118 check-in counters for various airlines.
In addition, 82 counters will be available to complete ROP immigration proceedings for travelling, while 40 aerobridges will enable passengers to walk from the terminal directly to the plane entrance.
A total of 29 waiting halls will be available at the terminals before take off.
A four-star-hotel will also be open to travellers.
