Slice and dice to win big in ‘The Chef Battle’ VR challenge at City Centre Muscat

This summer, get involved in a heated 'The Chef Battle', but in the cool indoors at City Centre Muscat. City Centre Muscat, the first fashion and lifestyle shopping destination in Oman, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim – the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia – will create joyous moments every day this season by bringing families together for ‘The Chef Battle’ Virtual Reality game until August 5.

Visitors can eat their way around the world without having to hop on a plane with a choice of more than 33 restaurants and cafes. From exclusive restaurants like the Turkish-inspired Köşebaşı and the only Buffalo Wild Wings in the country to authentic Arabic fare at Ahwak Restaurant and tantalising American burgers and hotdogs at Shake Shack, there is something to satisfy every taste at City Centre Muscat. With the aim of bringing the latest innovation to the retail industry, City Centre Muscat has rolled out a tasty challenge for visitors this season. Diners can participate in the ‘The Chef Battle’ virtual reality game at the Central Galleria by redeeming their F&B receipts. Participants will be kitted out with virtual reality gear and will have to slice ingredients flying towards them to earn points for instant prizes, including dining offers, VOX Cinemas movie tickets, Magic Planet cards, and mall gift vouchers. Customers gain points by slicing the correct ingredients, whilst losing points if slicing the wrong ingredients.

Shoppers also have the opportunity of winning prizes worth OMR 250 in a draw by spending as little as OMR 20 at any of the retail stores at the mall. Eating at the mall will give them more chances of winning this summer.

"City Centre Muscat is your family destination to escape the summer heat and indulge in retail therapy, mouth-watering world cuisine, unlimited entertainment and loads of winning opportunities during the holidays," said Husam Al Mandhari, Senior Mall Manager at City Centre Muscat.

"With 33 restaurants and cafes serving up everything from Arabic and American food to Indian cuisine, visitors will be spoilt for choice. And this year we are making it even more exciting for our diners by challenging them a virtual reality game that will guarantee great and unforgettable moments for everyone, everyday."
