His Majesty pardons 212 prisoners

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the Supreme Commander, has issued a Royal pardon to a number of prisoners convicted in different cases, according to a statement by the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
212 inmates have been pardoned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos on the occasion of Renaissance Day.
“On the occasion of the blessed Renaissance Day, 23rd of July 2017, His Majesty the Sultan issues a pardon for a number of prisoners,” the statement read.
“212 inmates were pardoned in which 67 of them were expatriates,” an official at the ROP said.
