Oman's SQU to organise first student research conference in April

Muscat: Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) is organising the first student conference for scientific research, targeting undergraduate and graduate students from different faculties and disciplines in the coming April.
The conference seeks to strengthen the research and innovation culture of students by creating a conducive environment to expanding their participation in all colleges and presenting their research and innovations, while presenting them to the public and private sectors and their different sectors in order to benefit from these achievements, by turning them into projects that benefit the society, in addition to the adoption of some institutions of those achievements. It is an opportunity to disseminate those achievements locally and globally.
The conference includes researches, innovations, graduation projects, master’s and doctoral dissertations in scientific and humanitarian fields for all students from undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
The organising committee has set general rules and regulations, including that the participation is the applicant’s thought and work, characterised by academic integrity and observing the intellectual rights of others. The applicant must be a university student (who is still in college), and should not have graduated for more than one year, based on the date of receiving his/her Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate certificate from the Deanship of Admissions and Registration.
It is also possible to participate in this conference with a graduation project, master’s thesis or doctorate or any other research project carried out by the applicant during the study period. The applicant has not participated in other contests at the local or international level and has been awarded a prize.
