Four movies to watch this week

Hollywood has blessed the cinemas with great film choices this month, and given the Eid holidays, you are in for a flick treat.
Theatre tickets become fully booked during Eid holidays, and that is because they usually have a few options on offer, but this year you have four of the most anticipated films of the year, which means there will be plenty of movies to watch. You have the Amazonian super-heroine ‘Wonder Woman’, the hilarious pirate Jack Sparrow, the fifth instalment of the ‘Transformers’ and a remake of the ‘Mummy’ film with not other than Tom Cruise in leading role. In other words, Eid is looking great for movie buffs. Here’s why you should watch each of these popcorn flicks.

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman stars teh beautiful and talented Cal Gadot who portrays an Amazonian princess trained to fight for juices. The film is part of the DC Universe (Batman V Superman, Man of Steel) and to a certain extent it brought a bit of a spark to the franchise. The film features a brilliant plot and creatively choreographed action scenes.

Transformers: The Last Knight

The fifth movie from Michael Bay’s franchise is a stunner with nothing less than mind-blowing action. Though critics are already bashing it for lacking substance, it is a masterpiece for action lovers. You will get your fix with high-end CGI effects and some killer robot fighting scenes.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge

This is apparently the year of the fifth. ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ has released its new film, marking the return of Jack Sparrow for the fifth time. The film features monstrous characters, entertaining sequences, and of course more of Sparrows hysteria. The sea battles are as thrilling as the visual effects.

The Mummy

If you watched the previous ‘Mummy’ movies you would love this one. It has a somewhat similar vibe to its predecessor with the addition of Tom Cruise and an evil Egyptian princess whose thirst for power is yet to be quenched. Mummies fighting in the desert, there is nothing not to like about it.
