Oman education: Physicians examined for Royal College of Emergency Medicine membership

Muscat: Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) organised an examination at German University College of Technology premises for 201 doctors from the Sultanate and other countries for the membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) in UK (Part 1).
The examination, organised in cooperation between OMSB and RCEM in U.K , targets emergency physicians from inside and outside the Sultanate.
The Royal College examinations, which are divided into three parts, are held four times a year.
OMSB provides the necessary resources, under the supervision of the General Medical Council, to conduct the examination.
OMSB, an internationally recognised center for this examination, is the only internationally approved center on the level of Gulf and Middle East region.
It should be noted that the Council cooperates with a number of medically advanced countries, such as U.S.A, Canada, U.K and Ireland to host fellowship examination for a number of specialities in a bid to ensure that Omani doctors are at par with specialised doctors in the advanced countries.
