Oman education: Smart classrooms to be set up at Indian School Maabela

Muscat: Plans to setup smart classrooms at the Indian School Al Maabela are underway.
The school recently floated tenders for the supply of Smart 55 inch TVs for classrooms, along with other amenities for students to benefit from.
The tender also included demand for the supply of soft boards and marker boards, landscaping the school playground, maintenance of computers, printers and scanners, networking, CCTV, PA system, switched and firewall.
Ghazala, a parent of a child studying at the Indian School Al Maabela expressed her delight at this news. “I am really happy that the school is coming up with such nice facilities for the students; it’s a good move and we really appreciate it.”
“We usually see smart classrooms only in international schools, but seeing that this service is coming up in ISAM is great to see, I am hoping my son will learn more through these new methods.”
Not only the Indian School Al Maabela, but before this the newly opened ISWKi also introduced smart classrooms as part of its curriculum with special Apple labs using specific Apple only products. It’s also the first school building to be connected entirely with fibre optic cables.
The deadline for submission of the tenders for the Indian School Al Maabela is June 18, 2017.
