Suniel Shetty: Now I need the support of younger actors to take my career forward

New Delhi: In his 25-year-long career, actor Suniel Shetty has been a part of films with various genres but the actor still feels that wrong choices messed up his career. However, Suniel says that he is glad that his daughter Athiya Shetty who made her film debut with Hero (2015) has been wise while selecting films.

"Athiya has been very patient and she learnt from my mistakes. Athiya has not jumped on any project. She will be doing her next film because it is an amazing script and a very entertaining film," says Suniel. The actor, who is currently seen hosting an adventure reality show on television, says he has always advised his daughter to reach out to the masses. "I tell her that they will support you," he says.

The actor who is ready for his comeback on silver screen after three years says that he will need the support of the younger actors. "I need the shoulders of the young lot to move ahead in my career. Without them, it is going to be difficult to do things on my own. I can't do the song and dance anymore. I refuse to colour my hair, unless it's a progressive character," says Suniel.

The 55-year-old says that he has always been open to working with young and new talent. "Most of the films have had new directors. I give newcomers a chance. It is the younger lot I believe in," says the actor.
