ROHM's new season poised to be a legendary one

Muscat: A number of reputed operas, Omani shows, Arab performances, ballets, concerts, and education and outreach programmes will mark the 2017/18 calendar of the Royal Opera House Muscat. The theme is called 'A Legendary Season'.
Starting on September 14, 2017 with Giuseppe Verdi's grand masterpiece, Aida, the season will feature 35 new programmes and 55 performances till May, 2018. These include a tribute to Luciano Pavarotti, an adaptation of Swan Lake, and even musical performances by renowned singers like Cliff Richards and Ann Hampton Callaway.
Arab concerts will feature contemporary legends like Sami Yusuf, Omani star Salah Al Zadjali, Majid El Mohandes and other famed names.
Children will also enjoy with productions like The Moth Princess, Peter and the Wolf, Cinderella, and Swan Lake.
ROHM will also continue their 'coffee and dates' sessions with stars and also recruit extras to appear on stage for the various shows and operas.
His Highness Sayyid Kamil bin Fahad Al Said, member of the ROHM board said, "Our diverse programming spans cultures across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, opening a myriad of windows on the world, while inviting the world to discover Oman's distinctive cultural traditions, its talent and its contemporary acheivements."
