One dead, one critical after falling into manhole in Oman

Muscat: One person has died after falling into a sewer manhole, while another individual was rescued in a critical condition, officials said.
According to the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance (PACDA), the victims were maintenance workers who were carrying out repair works. PACDA also released a statement online about their rescue of two individuals who fell into a sewer manhole in Al Khuwair area on Wednesday.
"Further regarding the report of two people falling into a manhole, we are informing you that the first person was rescued, but is in critical condition as he has been rushed for treatment. The second individual's body was recovered, but he was found dead," PACDA's statement read.
