Oman Cricket: Former Pakistan star Wasim visits Al Hail School of Cricket

Muscat: Former Pakistan star cricketer Mohammed Wasim visited Al Hail School of Cricket on Monday evening.
Mohammed Wasim, who currently represents the Netherlands, is on a brief of tour of Oman.
According to Al Hail School of Cricket official Moula Bakhsh Al Balushi, the former star was very impressed with the facilities at the academy.
During the visit, Al Hail School of Cricket officials and Mohammed Wasim had very fruitful discussions and talked about possible tie-ups in the future.
“We had very fruitful discussions. We spoke about a tie-up for future Development Programmes between Al Hail School of Cricket and Wasim’s Academy in Islamabad and the Netherlands, including possible exchange programmes, tours and matches as well as the coaching programmes for Al Hail School of Cricket,” the official said.
A right-handed batsman, Mohammed Wasim represented Pakistan in 18 Test matches and 25 One-day Internationals (ODIs) between 1996 and 2000 before moving to the Netherlands.
Moula Bakhsh, meanwhile, said: “Mohammed Wasim was quite impressed with our facilities, especially the grass ground, net facilities and academy building which also comprises a dedicated conference hall.
“He was pleasantly surprised to see a huge number of children at the academy that had come to welcome him. He also praised our coaches and was pleased to know that individual attention was given to the children by the coaches.”
