Muscat: Fifteen aspiring umpires attended the first Level 0 umpires course organised by Oman Cricket Club Salalah in Salalah recently.

The course, which ran from May 11 to 13, was conducted by Oman Cricket’s official umpire trainer A.R. Srinivasan.

Both officiating umpires as well as players attended the course conducted at the Hamdan Plaza Hotel from May 11 to 13.

The course commenced on May 11 after the formal welcome by Anil Kumar, Secretary of Oman Cricket Salalah.

“The certificates of attendance were given to all participants by Oman Cricket Club Salalah officials. The qualification certificates will be issued after the results of the qualifying test will declared,” Oman Cricket Club Salalah said in a statement.

“It was a great learning experience for the umpires in Salalah for the first time and all are eagerly looking forward for more such sessions in future,” the statement added.
