Two arrested for possessing narcotics in Oman

Muscat: Two people have been arrested for possession of narcotics, the ROP announced Sunday.
The Department of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, led by the Wusta Governorate Police, arrested two people in the Haima province for charges of possession and abuse of narcotics. The police seized a number of captagon tablets in their possession.
Legal proceedings have been taken against the defendants, and the case has been referred to the prosecution to complete the investigation.
The ROP calls on all citizens and residents to cooperate in combating drug offences, and to inform the police of any information that helps detect drug smugglers and drug traffickers by calling the emergency number 9999, or the toll-free number 1444, or heading to the nearest police station.
