All taxis in Oman to be metered?

The Ministry of transport has said that all taxis could be soon running on meters. The ministry is currently reviewing the proposals for installing meters on all taxis, as seen in a number of GCC countries and worldwide. The taxi sector will also generate job opportunities and with the introduction of new technologies it will help the owners in generating more business.
