Oman Weather: Showers, hail, strong winds and floods expected

Muscat: Weather forecasters predict showers, strong winds, hail and floods for three days beginning on Friday, according to the latest report issued by the Directorate General of Meteorology (DG of Met).
The National Early Warning Center at the DG of Met predicts a low depression over several parts of the Sultanate this weekend accompanied by strong winds, showers and hail.
The affected governorates are Buraimi, Ad’Dhahira, North and South Al Batinah, Ad’Dakhiliya, North and South Al Sharqiyah and Muscat.
The DG of Met states that wadis might overflow and caution has to be taken.
At the current state, Southerly winds will continue to blow dust and sand which will affect vision in desert areas. Sea waves will be between moderate and severe while wave height be between two and three meters starting on Friday, 24 March 2017.
